Venture capitalist Vinod Khosla has warned that in the next five years, artificial intelligence could replace most roles in India’s IT and BPO sectors. Alongside risks, he sees huge opportunity for India to lead AI innovation if it adapts quickly.
According to IANS, the AI system has been trained to mimic PM Modi’s voice accurately while translating his Hindi speech into various regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Odia. This innovation makes Mann Ki Baat accessible to audiences across linguistic boundaries, marking a milestone in India’s use of AI for public communication.
The new system was reportedly developed with the support of India’s Digital India Mission and government-backed AI research units. The goal is to combine linguistic diversity with digital inclusivity—ensuring that citizens can hear the Prime Minister’s words in a voice and language they relate to most.
Expanding reach through digital and radio platforms
The translated AI versions of Mann Ki Baat are being distributed via All India Radio, the official Mann Ki Baat app, and digital streaming platforms such as YouTube and Spotify. Listeners can choose their preferred regional language, with the AI voice modulated to match the tone and rhythm of PM Modi’s original Hindi broadcast.
