Reliance and Google have announced a massive AI collaboration that gives over 500 million Jio users free access to Google’s premium Gemini Pro AI plan worth ₹35,100 for 18 months. The offer marks the biggest consumer AI rollout in India, integrating Gemini’s tools and cloud features directly into Jio’s ecosystem.
Reliance Industries and Google have joined hands once again. The two companies, known for launching JioPhone Next together, are now expanding their partnership into the AI space.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the Reliance–Google partnership on X, calling it a major step to bring “AI for All” to millions of Jio users across India.
Under the new plan, Jio users will get 18 months of free access to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro. The offer is aimed at taking advanced AI tools to millions of Indians. It also signals how telecom and technology are coming together to shape the next phase of India’s digital growth.

Jio users will get Google AI Pro access worth ₹35,100, free for 18 months. The plan includes Gemini 2.5 Pro, image and video generation tools like Veo 3.1 and Nano BANANA, and integration with NotebookLM and Google Workspace.
It also offers 2 TB of cloud storage and multi-language AI support in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and more, expanding advanced AI access across India.

The offer is open to Jio 5G unlimited plan users with plans priced at ₹349 or above. In the first phase, it will be available to users aged 18 to 25 years. To activate, users need to open the MyJio app, tap on the “Claim Now” banner, and link their Google account.

A wider rollout for all Jio subscribers is planned in the coming months. Existing Google AI Pro users will automatically move to the “Google AI Pro – Powered by Jio” plan after their current term ends.
