YouTuber recently announced his entry into the startup world with “AI Fiesta,” a platform positioned as a one-stop AI productivity hub. According to Dhruv, AI Fiesta’s biggest USP is that it brings six top AI models like ChatGPT-5 Plus, Gemini 2.5 Pro and Claude 4 Sonnet onto one platform, solving the hassle of paying for and switching between multiple tools.

The platform also offers side-by-side AI comparisons, a prompt enhancer, image and audio tools, and a library of 3,000+ ready-made prompts—all at an affordable price with UPI support.

While the idea was pitched as making artificial intelligence “simpler and more accessible,” the announcement faced immediate pushback from India’s vocal tech community on X.

Why is his AI startup ‘AI Fiesta’ facing criticism?

Reactions started pouring in on social media soon after the launch.Critics argued that the platform offered little innovation compared to existing AI tools already available globally. Some even claimed the branding was more of a “content creator gimmick” than a serious tech initiative. Memes, sarcastic posts, and pointed threads questioning Rathee’s understanding of the AI industry quickly went viral.

Why the Backlash Turned So Intense

The criticism wasn’t only about the product. Tech insiders highlighted that India’s AI startup ecosystem is already overcrowded, with dozens of tools focusing on chat, productivity, and automation. According to them, Rathee’s “AI Fiesta” added “yet another layer of redundancy” without clear differentiators.

Supporters of Rathee, however, defended him by saying his platform could democratise awareness of AI among non-technical users, a space often neglected by deeply technical startups.

What This Controversy Says About India’s AI Future

Whether AI Fiesta succeeds or not, the incident highlights how India’s digital creators are beginning to blend influence with entrepreneurship in the AI space. The backlash also shows that audiences today expect more than just branding—they want originality, solid tech, and a clear value proposition.

For Rathee, the challenge will be turning skepticism into proof of concept. If AI Fiesta manages to offer genuinely useful, affordable tools for everyday Indians, the narrative could flip. Otherwise, the “tech bros” of X may just have predicted its downfall early.
