He contends that Gen Z represents an extraordinary technological revolution where creativity and innovative skills can make seemingly impossible dreams become a reality. According to him, AI is not killing jobs outright but instead is changing them and rewarding those who adapt quickly with rewarding roles in an AI economy.
Why “Lucky” Is Appropriate For Gen Z
Altman noted that tasks which used to take years can now be completed within months, thanks to AI tools and platforms not previously seen before in areas like education, healthcare, creative industries and entrepreneurship. He believes Gen Z enjoys a unique combination of accessing resources via the internet as well as AI power that no other generation could match up against.
Who Will Rule the Future?
According to Altman, over the next 5-10 years it will become clear who uses AI effectively versus those who do not – those embracing it will lead both professionally and innovatively.
