The initiative will allow students in AICTE-affiliated colleges to access generative AI tools for coding, problem-solving, and research support. Faculty members will also be able to use these resources to enhance classroom teaching.

Alongside, the Ministry of Education has announced a parallel programme to extend ChatGPT access to government school teachers from Classes 1 to 12, marking one of the largest AI-in-education rollouts in the world.
