ToggleIn a bold move to future-proof education, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has launched India’s first degree-level programs combining Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The new Quantum-AI minor courses will be offered across engineering and general science colleges starting 2025–26, aiming to make students industry-ready in two of the world’s most transformative technologies.

This ambitious rollout is backed by tech giants and institutions, including:
“This is not just an academic milestone — it’s a step toward building India’s Silicon Valley of Quantum Tech in Amaravati,” said an APSCHE official.
Labs, Startups & Trained Faculty
- 500+ college faculty across Andhra Pradesh will undergo specialized training in AI and quantum computing.
- Hands-on laboratories will be established under the “Quantum Valley” initiative in Amaravati.
- The project aims to boost quantum-tech startups and academic research.
